The swami's optimistic partisanship is showing. The swami conveniently forgets that the GOP has lost 5 of the last 6 popular presidential contests. And they only won the one because Dick Cheney figured out how to terrify the gullible American electorate into believing there's a swarthy, mustachioed terrorist under every bed.

There's a shift in the nature of the electorate and the GOP doesn't have a clue what to do about it. I see nothing on the horizon that suggests they're willing to discard any of the basic philosophies they espouse in order to do any better. So they can run Rand Paul or Marco Rubio or Ted Cruz (he's not Kenyan is he?), or just about anybody else they have and they're gonna run into trouble.
