Did the bluray -> volume pot (alps) -> amp setup yesterday.

Even with the weakest-link bluray player as a source, Pandora to boot, it's nice to hear the clean sound of a) a real stereo, and b) the simple circuit cleanliness.

I'll pull out the good cd player later this week and play with speaker placement some more.

I am starting to see some HDMI capable AV receivers by Onkyo at the the thrifts lately...
so I guess one could use a blu-ray player and that for the new blu ray audio stuff coming out.

Got the TT, and I can use my lux pre with the tape out and external volume knob till I get a chance to see what's wrong.
