You do realiize that the screwed up rollout was implemented by private inductry, and by a company theat the previous administration had put on the preferred list?

Do you need a cane? I guess health care can be pretty cheap when you can't get in to see your doc.

Germany was listed as first in how quickly residents saw their doctors, at 76 per cent, followed by New Zealand at 72 per cent."
It seems like 9 countries with their "socialized medicine" do better than we do (at half the cost). Why is it that you seem so satisfied with a system that's in 10th place in this measure, 16th in outcomes (I think - see Barbara's previous post), and dead last in terms of cost? You sure are easy to please while quick to criticize.

My cousin moved from Pennsylvania to Kingston, Ontario about 15 years ago when he married a lovely Canadian lass from there. He says that the only thing that would keep him from even considering a move back to the states was our health care system.

If only Obama and the Democrats had named ACA "American Healthcare Act", chances are it would not have been nicknamed Obamacare.

Similar situation, I met a lovely American Lady from Columbia Maryland in the Feb 11-12 1983 east coast blizzard. After spending the night in a hotel lobby protecting her we corresponded and phoned each other. My salary though excellent would not run two households so I took early retirement, that supported my ex quite nicely. Once the word was out that I was available the first offer came from, Northern VA. Seeing as how we desperately wanted to be together I took it along with the offered visa, so here I am. That was toward the end of St. Ronnie's reign and things did look better back then.

Possibly but the GOP would have still been intransigent.
