Germany's liberal too by our standards. Their ruling party (the CDU/CSU coalition) is their conservative party and would likely be liberal by most Americans and soci@list by most Republicans.

I'd love to. I lived there eleven years and if I had to pick any place on Earth to live, it would be in the alpine foothills between Munich and the Alps. Beyond family connections here (or more importantly, my wife's in Baltimore), I don't think you can simply move there, just as a German can't simply move here. We Americans (or more accurately Republicans) love to dump on the European lifestyle, but I prefer many aspects of life in northern Europe to here though I like many aspects here too. No country has a monopoly on good ideas, management or governance.
