To give credit where it's due...that was IceNine who linked to that article Mike. Take your blinders off, dude. You seem fixated lately.

At least Moody's isn't blinded by the bright shiny object that is Obamacare:
http://thehill.com/blogs/healthwatch...-insurers-over
“While we’ve had industry risks from regulatory changes on our radar for a while, the ongoing unstable and evolving environment is a key factor for our outlook change,” Moody’s Senior Vice President Stephen Zaharuk said in a statement. “The past few months have seen new regulations and announcements that impose operational changes well after product and pricing decisions were finalized.”
Citing statistics released by the administration, it noted that so far about 24 percent of enrollees are between the ages of 18 and 34, while a target of 40 percent may be necessary to keep premiums from rising in the future.
It said the 24 percent of young people enrolled so far is “well short” of the 40 percent target.
Moody’s also said it was worried that insurers’ premium calculations might not be enough to cover the industry assessment tax that begins in 2014.

The thing I still don't get, is if it's so good, why do the big Union donors (like me) get exemptions. They are already talking about extending them when they run out in 2016. Why would they be fucking us like that? I want my premiums to double too dammit. BTW, signing up for, and paying for are two different things. The only good news I've heard, is once the dumbshits sign up, there's no way to unsign. Keep making my life easier my liberal friends.

I been hearing from more and more people around here ""why not a single payer?"" The same ones who against the ACA from the get.
I figure that is what the GOP's plan will be to get in the oval office again.

What I don't get is why anyone would support any system that keeps them dependent on an employer? So many employers these days are such idiots. And, you want your medical needs tied to them? Are you that stupid? At least the government is here to stay, private employers come and go like farts in a wind storm.

Or what? You'll bravely run and hide? Dope yourself back up and forget about it?
Go back to AK, my friend. It's safe there.

The answer to your question is that the administration granted the exemption to unions because the unions have heretofore used their group health insurance as one the primary inducements/perks of union membership. They petitioned the White House for an exemption to retain this recruitment tool. I too believe it was payback to union leadership from the administration for their support in the election. Is it wrong? Probably. Is it illegal? Probably not.

Sorry, that Isn't the reason. Most union exemptions expire in 2017, and won't be extended. So, if the "inducement / perk" of health insurance isn't magically going away in 2017, ask yourself what is set to expire in 2017. I'll give you a hint: the unions that obtained waivers are avoiding paying a huge amount in taxes that Obamacare imposes on health insurance plans from 2014 through 2016.

It is all in a name
http://www.latimes.com/local/la-me-n...#axzz2sIPOXevD
now the concern is not over the ACA but the name...perhaps they should rename Medi-Cal to Covered California
