I could ask your reasoning,But there really is no need to because in a nutshell you are right,I for the life of me cannot think of a nation at any time that really was a Democracy by definition.

We were chartered as a constitutional republic and not a democracy. Early Grease, on the other hand was set up more on the principles of a democracy.

This Might be deserving of a new Thread but I will lay it out here since it is relative,provoked by post #43 to wich I investigated and came across this.i realized not that so many partys and afilliations thrived in the early days of America.well here it is took me abit to read through it but I found it very good read and Interesting being the novice I am.

Interesting article, with taken from the text.

"But late in his life James Madison scrawled out another letter, one never addressed. In it he declared that no government can be perfect, and "that which is the least imperfect is therefore the best government."

Pretty much sums it up.

Yea it sums it up and really no arguement I can come up with and I would be surprised if someone could.just thought I would put that link up.it was good for a novice like me.and mabe a seasoned few too wanted to do a refresher.

Well the patriot act and homeland security might have took some of the air out of the balloon.with some of the new provisions we are walking the line close to a dictatership.but I am not in the big league neither I am just a junior cub tryin to hang with the big boys.

No argument about the Patriot Act. I have faith & hope that it'll go the way of the dodo in time. Like Chas I want to be left alone to please myself however I see fit, within the constraints of the law.

Well I only see it getting worse ,they have a foot in the door,I think they will take more when convieneint.Big brother is around the corner,I hope not but...
