(I'm assuming people know 'Brave New World?' Dystopian futuristic novel by Aldous Huxley? Written in 1931, features genetic engineering of humans, and likewise pervasive social engineering of the culture and extensive conditioning to control behavior. Forget Shakespere. Dates back to 1931, and remains amazingly pertinent. Very worth reading if you missed it. Very unlikely to be in the new improved Koch curriculum. Who needs literature anyway?)

YES! Excellent book. He gets a little hinkey with the sexual aspect, but otherwise, very pertinent.

Is it just me, or is it always the Republican "thing" to scream that someone is "overpaid" anytime a problem arises? Well, unless it's the people at the top of a private organization, then it seems to be impossible for them to be overcompensated................

So it's OK that they have vouchers for private schools?

I think it's wrong that ANYONE can use my money to send their piglets to private school. If you want your kid to go learn how to be a JesusNazi do it on your own dime.

Private schools should be private and should not receive any public money at all. The working poor cannot afford to subsidize the millionaires anymore IMO. Let the elite pay their own way, after all is that not what they keep preaching to us 47%ers?

Therefore parents of kids in private schools should not have to pay school levies. And poor folks should be stuck in failing schools.

There's no therefore there, Pete. You don't get to pick and choose which taxes you want to pay.

Subsidizing the poor makes sense. Subsidizing the children of affluent parents makes absolutely no sense at all. It's utterly stupid. I realize that flies in the face of present-day American conservatism, but that's how I see it.
