And well-meaning folks would set down within the constraints of "regular order" on Capitol Hill and work out improvements, changes or even repeal. However, I don't consider extortionists to be well-meaning folks.

Why then won't Obama consent to fund the various little things? Or are only righties extortionists?

Uh, what is the difference between funding everything-but-ACA in 100 little bills, or one big bill?

Medical trials, child-snatching warnings, not really the entire government here.

It is indeed extortion to say we'll take the country to default if Obama doesn't repeal a law that was passed by both Houses, signed by the President and upheld by the SCOTUS. If they want to get rid of it (which is, of course, their right), they need to win the Senate and Presidency. It seems to me that they're trying nullification on a grand scale.

Seriously at this point I think they should just implement it, but well meaning folks can of course disagree. I'm sure there's some good in there too.

Why not just phone the Canadians and ask for a copy of the SinglePayer bill?
