I am sure once the mess is over it will be retroactive.

I mean how do you not pay yourself?
It gets deposited into direct deposit automatically.

Maybe he is writing checks to the Treasury?

Cooler heads may be prevailing. Sure would be nice to have some real conservatives back in congress.

Isn't it ironic that we are looking to corporate Republicans to be the voice of reason.

It sure is, Don. I'd never entertained the idea that the party of Nixon and the Rockefellers were anything but the enemy of all that is holy to this progressive. (They still are.)

A corollary would be the Democrats getting in bed with the Weather Underground and letting those crazies run the show.

Hey Nixon hated Commies and Pinkos...
he and the silent majority did not hate the government from what I can remember

the voters in Ohio where I grew up were really big Nixon supporters even though many like my dad were UAW members. In grade school there was this nasty rumor that McGovern was going to make us go to school on Saturday!!!!!

McGovern had no chance

72 was the first election I can remember.......
NBC had their trademark Decision 72 commercial lead ins

I even had a Laugh In lunch box

It just dawned on me
maybe the country club martini type wanna be's that would vote for Nixon or Ford got outsourced also along with all the blue collar hard hat Archie Bunker types

the only thing left are the Koch Brothers and Adelson types bankrolling Dixiecrats who happen to call themselves Republicans simply because they hitched on to Ronald Reagan in the 80s

Where do the Bush's fit in?
