Pfft.... Look what happened while they were actively regulating the futures market!

Gotta love this quote:

"We're not going to be disrespected," Rep. Marlin Stutzman (R-Ind.) told The Washington Examiner. "We have to get something out of this. And I don't know what that even is."

Are you saying that since the regulators have been hamstrung by your party going back to the days of St. Ronnie (the snitch) of RKO, we should do away with any oversight?

How typical of you Mike.

If deregulation works, we will find out soon enough.
GAO is short handed too but then there is not much money being spent.

Recent history of oversight has been the responsibility of Dems like Dodd and Frank. Are you suggesting that their oversight was ineffective?

Pffft, back atcha. Dodd Frank is a very new mechanism that has been fought tooth and nail by your party. I find it "interesting" that you ignore the thirty plus years of 'deregulation' that the Repugnant party has been championing.

Very interesting.

As far as I can figure, the TP pressed this strategy because it was excitinig to them and seemed like a way to kick President Obama around. The thing was not thought through, there is no real plan, there is no endgame. They are playing 'chicken' with the Constitution and the welfare of the country.

Boehner will live in infamy for his cowardly indulgence of these crazies. He could and should have insisted on rational conduct.
