Just got off the phone with the realtor. The buyers now want move in and rent till it all sorts out. Seems they did that with the house they sold and now need a place to stay. I think they should of asked me first. But they knew the home was vacant.
I'm inclined to take my time deciding this one.

I've been watching that and the Next Generation Star Trek lately and I think Dr Who edges it out by a little. The plots are excellent scifi but it's aimed at a slightly young audience to be truly good imho.

If you have not seen Torchwood please watch that....
the third series, a 5 hour mini-series called Children of Earth, is awesome.

If everyone's paperwork is in order, I wouldn't think a closing would take that long.
I'd also keep an eye on the relator...sounds like he's playing both sides against the middle.

Their loan is through FHA Rural Housing. The lights are off there, employees are home.

We are not inclined to allow them to rent. I figure we only can loose out being nice on this one. Besides it's not my fault they rented their old house before talking to me.
Just went through the vacant home insurance thing, I can see calling the insurance guy back to get commercial property now!
I think by Wednesday next it will be over in crazy town.

If it's anything like here? You'll need a business license to rent it out.

Not here so far. Just claim it as income and pay at least double property taxes and insurance.

I wish that I shared your optimism, Barney. The Tealiban baggers are loving the shut down and I think that they're going to take the clown car right off the cliff by defaulting on the good faith and credit of the United States.

I bet those @ssholes will hold out until the 17th when the debt limit is reached. It's all about the drama.
