I will be listening to the second one tonight. BTW, Alabama Shakes Boys and Girls is one great album.

I think they can be real big if they can keep it up....they sort of remind me of the Black Keys.

To finish up the Beatles, Abbey Road.

On to, Clapton Unplugged and Behind the Sun.

Hey Chas, I had to struggle through this gal blasting C&W on the radio while I was replacing her front door today. Damn if it didn't sound rock and roll to me.

Rockabilly bullshit. Anymore, it's one hick singing about anouther hick.

I like the old stuff, the shit I grew up getting drunk in beer joints. Ray Price, "Gentleman" Jim stuff.

I've got a collection of the Franklin Mint country rekkerds. They're too kwel for skool...heavy pressed red lp's.

Probably my favorite is "The Outlaws". Jerry Jeff Walker, Willard Nelson, Michael Murphy...and Johnnie Paycheck!!!

Love "The Only Hell My Momma Ever Raised".

"I rolled into Atanta, and almost out of gas,

And lately I'd learned how to get some money, and how to get it fast,

Them neon lights was calling me, and I just had to get downtown,

So I reached into the glovebox, and another likker store went down."

You'll never realize just how close I came to a life like that. Or getting involved with drug dealers who simply "disappeared".

Boo and hiss,

Chas

Yep, I like the old stuff a bit myself. Willie Nelson is aces in my book. I really like The Band even if they played with Dylan. Blues has to be my favorite. Different strokes for different folks.
