Sometime ago, I bought three 10.5" reels of "blank" AGFA Professional Grade tape from an Aker. Turns out it is anything but blank.

I opened one and a slip of paper fell out simply titled "Blues tape. Recorded 1983, London, England. 7 1/2" IPS".

Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker and a bunch of other artists. Not sure who all of them are, but they are all good. Right now, there's a woman that sounds a lot like Janis Joplin singing. Well, Janis before her voice got all raspy and screwed up by too much alcohol and cigarettes.

The sound is very good, although he had the input level set a bit too high. The high freqs are a touch distorted and there is a little bleedthough. Otherwise, the sound is excellent, and I LOVE the music.

I think I'll leave it alone.

Yeah. What an unexpected score! Almost two hours of great music. Checking out the other two tapes now. It seems he erased both of them. Oh, well.

Actually, I like both of those guys as musicians. I think I saw Nugent in concert once, but I was most likely very strunk*, so I don't remember it. Don't much care for their politics or personalities, however.
