No offense, but after reading the last several posts, I'm beginning to wonder if some of you are in touch with reality.

How so? Don't leave me hanging Chas.
Mebbe this is another drive by? Don't just pull the pin and hit the gas now.

Have you read the last few posts?

The trial was fixed, the prosecution was in the bag, why only six jurors in Florida, the bastard was guilty of something even though he didn't violate the rule of law, bla, bla, bla...

Kind of reminds me of a story I read about Lee's defeat at Gettysburg.

The general staff was gathered around, engaged in navel gazing..."perhaps if we had done this, perhaps if we had done that, perhaps these are the reasons we lost."

Finally one general stated, "Perhaps the Yankees had something to do with it."

Perhaps "Zippy" was set free because he was innocent? Perhaps you've invested so much of you ideology into this case that you can't see the simple truth.

This was, and unfortunately still is, a simple case of self defense. As they are currently the law, CCW permits, SYG laws, and gun control in general have nothing to do with it. They are separate issues, and any debate as to the wisdom of them should be dealt with as such.

Zimmerman was found innocent by a jury of his peers. If you want to debate gun issues separately, that's fine by me, but why not leave "Zippy" alone.

He's been through enough.

Chas

Self defense? How about some extenuating circumstances thrown in as in armed stalking?
What do you think would have happened if Martin got the upper hand and choked the SOB to oblivion?
Jury of his peers indeed.

Chas is right, it was a simple trial about self defense.

Had Trayvon lived, fat boy would have fried. He would not have been able to claim self defense after Trayvon gave his statement.

No Trayvon, no statement, fat boy walks.

Why is he in hiding then? He no longer can defend himself?

What are the statutes on "armed stalking"?
