Why did Zim did not offer Trayvon a ride as it was raining?

Florida's shelflife is measured in decades. Other than that 300' hill, the rest of that state will be going the way of the Seychelles in due course. I doubt that even the A.C.E.'s will be able to construct seawalls strong enough to beat back the ever increasing hurricanes of the south Atlantic. Good fucking riddance.

Edit-mebbe all of those "creepy assed crackers" will move to rural Georgia?

Were they giving preferential treatment to an annoying but friendly citizen? I wonder if he was a regular...

you remember sick bay commandos Dave? was he one of those sorts? so much of an frequent caller to the cops he becomes a departmental friend?
There was a previous relationship.

I mean people are put in jail and forced to wait months for trials even if they are innocent....
Zimmerman goes home that night? Or soon after? really?
Zimmerman will probably be the next Sherriff of Maricopa county after Boss Arpaio dies. Then he can profile and abuse his position at will there as well.

I see the point Charles, but it also shows how he was known by the Police Department...I mean he was doing ride alongs and even if he did point out corruption it is not beyond the pale to imagine he had friends on the force. I am just wondering if he received special treatment after his arrest...did the Sanford police view him as a sort of VIP?

It'll be interesting if NBC is held liable for defaming Zimmerman. What they did certainly was a breach of journalistic ethics, not that I expect much in terms of ethics from broadcast journalism anymore.

I don't see why they felt it necessary. One read of the 911 call transcripts reveals what he is.

Remember, a finding of innocence due to unclear evidence at some point doesn't necessarily mean he is not guilty. It just means he can't be convicted.

The guy we let go when I served on jury duty was guilty as hell and everyone in the courtroom knew it. We just couldn't convict him because of that one little shadow of a doubt.

Zimmerman stalked and killed Treyvon Martin. The young man had done absolutely nothing to warrant being followed in the first place. Nothing.

The system didn't punish him, but the people will. For a long, long time.
