Not been a big Kanye kinda guy but I was told the new Jay-z is very good. I've not really been a fan of his either but may check it out on youtube and see if it's good.
I'm a Gilmour fan so Floyd sans Waters is just fine with me (though I prefer the four of them together) I did grow tired of the same songs of his father not coming back and his torment of being a so************************t/communist and being a rich capitalist at the same time. He never did give the money up...

I like to experience new stuff so I will check out Kanye.....
I meant Meddle not Murmur lol.....
I like both of them .....I really liked the Final Cut many people hate it and I had Radio KAOS on cassette back in 89.....Roger is ok with me ........
I think they need each other to really hit on all cylinders

Yeah, Meddle is a great album. Hard to pick a favorite but Obscured By Clouds has been in heavy rotation here for years.
I'm not a FInal Cut or Radio KAOS fan really. I have all his stuff but rarely listen to it. He's a fine musician and a killer song writer. And I do agree, they are best when all are together, shame Rick is dead.
Speaking of Rick, do you have his first solo album from 1978 "Wet Dream"? If not I recommend it. It may be the closest to Floyd from a solo member. in fact:
Richard Wright ~ Wet Dream

Thanks for the recommendation Rex I will keep an eye out for it...yes sad that all the rock stars are leaving us...too bad they could not have gone into the studio together one last time.
Animals Pink Floyd.

Gilmour solo is quite good, IMO.
Waters solo...eh, not so much.
Don't believe I've ever heard "Wet Dream"........I'll have to keep an eye peeled.
Pink Floyd as a group has as yet to be topped, IMO.
Think I'll fire up the garage system and jam Songs from the film "More".

Giving Dixie Chicken a chance.....
these Altec Lansing Santana's are good for jazz but harsh on rock......they do make very nice furniture I have them in my master bedroom and one of them is doing duty as a night stand. I will get a speaker selector switch hooked up and set some Klipsch speakers on the the slate tops...lol

Something really weird. Not sure what it is but some of the lyrics go like this: The pleasure will be yours.. as I tempt you with my whores..
Not my taste of music, but those lyrics caught my attention. Probably won't hear it again as I seldom listen to a metal station.

Don't know whether this should be in the movie thread or this one. We have started the free trial of netflix, and I have been surveying the concert footage. Just listened to/watched Jethro Tull in the Isle of Wright festival back in '70. The doc is called "Nothing is Easy" and has some killer work by all of the group. Also caught just a little bit of the "Strat Pack" - a couple of songs by Joe Walsh. I have all sorts of other concert films/documentaries queued up - now I just have to find the time.
Since my wife is in bed, I listened through the USB sound fob and Sennheiser HO 457 headphones. Not bad at all.
Regards,
D-Ray

Todd Rundgren---Something/Anything
On the garage system. These old Realistic Nova 6 are real sleepers. Small, unassuming speakers with a great sound. Wish I had bought all four.

Back when I stacked speakers I used a Niles SVC-2, separate volume controls for each set of speakers and a protection circuit which adds resistance depending on what the ohms are on the speakers. Picked it up for around $30 on Fleabay...they no longer make that model.
If you think the Altecs are harsh I can only imagine what you will think of the Klipsch. Especially if you are using a solid state amp to drive them.
