Got mellow and turned to a fav LP.

Nat Cole: LOVE IS THE THING

This is a peach of an album which contains such gems as

When I Fall In Love
Stardust

Love Letters
When Sunny Gets Blue

Nat Cole started out as a jazz pianist and ended up as America's
most beloved balladeer. Indeed, he is Americana.

Here Nat is accompanied by the lush strings of Gordon Jenkins
Orchestra. A must in any collection of American records.

A taste

Mom fondly tells a story of taking the L.A. Red Car with a girlfriend all the way to the Balboa Pavilion to see Nat King Cole perform in a small setting. She leaned on the piano while he played and sang. This happened years before she married my father and her eyes still sparkle at the memory of that long ago concert at the beachfront.

these Altec Santana's are sort of disappointing harsh tweeter I guess maybe new caps might help.....

Thanks, guys. Remind me to tell you about the time just a couple of years ago when she went to see a reggae band in Bakersfield. I posted it up at AK, I'll see if I can find it.

Cool, Robbin. Some really like their Santana's. Get some new caps and give 'em a shot. I need to get off my butt and build those Billfort cabinets for my Altec Lansing 604Es before Bluestreak really decides to hate me.

Baron Von Tollbooth and The Chrome Nun! 'The Harp Tree' is really a nice one on that album.
