Isn't it ironic that you spend so much time and energy teaching your offspring to be strong and independent, and they demonstrate they learned the lessons by having their own lives, and it almost breaks your heart.
Who new kids listened to their parents? I'd have been more careful!

FM 101.3 The Mix

Oldies weekend which means they are playing songs from the 80s which makes me old.

I using a Marantz Model 2020 tuner via a Jolida 102b and driving some Klipsch SF-1s.

If you see some Klipsch SF-1s cheap grab them....floor towers with 94db great for tube stuff and home theater too. Pretty neutral sounding.

You're going to need a bigger house soon if you keep emptying all the local thrifts in your area.

Naw, man. Got it on vinyl somewheres around here. I can play some of it on my Guild D4. No banjo, as yet. I do have my eye on a four string that's local to me.

I have been sending stuff to the Salvation Army
yesterday I sent an orphan TF 250---I was going to gut the speak for the drivers (I have a pair of 250s in my attic) but I felt bad destroying the sock....so maybe another poor soul will find the mate they need.

you are right way too many speakers but I do enjoy them.

but it is hard to pass up Altec Lansing,KEF,Klipsch, RSL and Timeframes lol.

I even got rid of a Sansui yesterday

Barney
I am getting to the point of if I do not use it donate it back...the speakers are the hardest to let go...the amps not so much.

I am going to perhaps list some stuff on craig's list next.

Score=headaches most of the time it seems. Every Japanese amp I find has some sort of channel problem..the Pioneer and Marantz in my garage have issues. They are botl so they are next on the chopping block. Surprisingly my really vintage Fisher 440t and Magnavox console pull have two very strong channels...I am beginning to think that American amps maybe were better lol....not a scientific analysis by any means. The Fisher has issues but at least the channels work. I am sick of deoxit. Ever since you said the Mcintosh MC-250 sounds tubey Barney I have been thinking of snagging one on ebay lol....
I am afraid a channel will not work lol....
