It's how the tea party has been getting rid of old style repubs in congress. They organize the faithful during the primaries to vote out who they see as RINOs before the main election.

Yep. This is what our rightwingers are talking about when they threaten to "Primary" someone. They hold meetings and rallies, pump up their stooges, then send them to the voting booths with a list.
