I agree.

Don't know what it tells you, but it tells me the bastards are in cahoots.

It all tells me that the corporations are running America and voting is mostly a waste of time. We have more to fear from the Chamberpot of Commerce and the likes of the Koch bros than any jihadists.

I agree with D about the Patriot Act but IIRC the congressional vote to re-authorize it exceeded any veto threat. Phyrric victorys by using vetoes that ultimately get overturned only spend political capital better used elsewhere.

Interesting speech from the President the other day. He's making noises about ending this shitty 'War on Terror'. If congress would get the hell outta the way, we might be able to finally close our version 'Devil's Island' at Guantanemo. He is also talking about restricting the use of drones by taking the targeting out of the cowboy's hands over at CIA.

Now there's a statement I can totally agree with.

True, and it's free. But to show why the corporations don't want us to vote is obvious. The U.S. does not have a law like Canada does that all employees MUST be given four hours during the period that the polls are open in which to vote (and also be paid for any hours they are away).
