And they are usually self described as "conservatives". Maybe that's just my perception, but I don't think so. I have yet to hear a Liberal Talk show host refer to himself as an "oracle of truth, ordained by God", as I have heard Captain Oxycontin say numerous times. Humor? Sure. But you know what? If you say it over and over again with a little chuckle included each time.......people start to believe it.

I honestly don't care if you feel belittled, mocked, or insulted. Your side has been belittling, mocking and insulting people for the last few decades. And they're getting worse every day. Feelings hurt? How does it feel? Sucks, doesn't it?

Here's a thoughtful take on the Robertson/Limbaugh imbroglio, by a conservative columnist no less (although she's been virtually excommunicated from the fold for criticizing Palin's choice as VP).

That lady can think and she writes quite well too. Are you sure she is a conservative? In reality, simply in the way she presents her thoughts, she highlights for us that demagogues like Limbaugh are not really conservatives, but are simply hateful opportunists.

A very thoughtful piece. It points, or atyleast I hope it does, to what I was saying earlier, that the Republicans are begining to wise up and reject the crazies like Robertson, Limbaugh, Palin and Steve King.

Steve King? Oh, you didn't know about that? This paragon of Christian virtue thinks maybe we should immediately deport all the Haitians that are here illegally so they can help with relief efforts.

I can happily report that I don't know this particular knucklehead. A better idea is to send him and all those fire-breathin' "Christians" like him down to Haiti and let them demonstrate their Christianity first-hand.

Congressman from Iowa and one of Caribou Barbie's faves. She reckons he's presidential timber.

You'll never guess what his party affiliation is.
