And then there is speeding. We all speed anyway. I know I do. So abolish speed limits.
Answer is this will lead anarchy and we are a civilized society and most of us are law abiding. So in a civilized society it is good to know and yes regulate who can buy and own a gun legally. Operative word is legally and not ownership.

I love marijuana. But, I do not use marijuana because it is illegal in my state and my employer does the urinalisys thing. Some people apparently don't care, but I do and I'm pretty sure there are others like me.
I often, but not always, speed too. On rare occasion, feloniously so......so long as I think there are no cops around or the weather is bad, or traffic too heavy.

BINGO! It's that gap, that reluctance, the difference between some gun sellers deciding whether to break the law, or not, that might save a few lives. Might make them be just a little more cautious about who they sell to. How anyone can be against that?
I don't think anyone expects any of these laws to be 100% effective, unless they are a fool. However, I tend to believe that anyone who thinks a law that is not 100% effective is an indication that it is totally unnecessary is an even bigger fool.
Trust me, I LOVE to go fast. Take away the speed limits and................you WILL want to stay the hell out of my way.

I speed every day. Hell what I call the 'real' speed limit hereabouts is 45 even though the sign says 35 - and everyone knows it.
Except for the new folks. You can tell, because they go 35.
Drugs, speeding, they are not protected specifically by the Constitution!

Neither are AR15s, AK47s and the like, unless you're in a well regulated militia. Join up, Pete.

And, NO, "well regulated" does not mean you have regular, solid stool. That ridiculous argument is one I shall NEVER forget! What a HOOT that was!

That is the sort of argument you would get from someone who is full of it.

Print yourself a muzzleloader and a coonskin cap, then.

Finn - doesn't look like anything special for a barrel. Looks like the whole thing is plastic.

"Mr Wilson told Forbes.com that he hopes to make weapons available to anyone who wants them. It is a bid, he says, to keep governments accountable to the people.
'You can print a lethal device. It’s kind of scary, but that’s what we’re aiming to show,' he said. 'Anywhere there’s a computer and an Internet connection, there would be the promise of a gun.' "
Please tell me ALL of you see the insanity in this. Especially the bolded parts.
