ps Got any links to those two citations you've offered. I would like to read more.

Sure I have no issue improve the quality of background checks. And I would probably support requiring background checks at (all) gun shows.
But I have a feeling that’s not good enuff for the loons on the left.

Unfortunately, the attitude expressed here (shared by those on the right and left, by the way) is why it is so difficult to govern. Even when we find common ground, we are reluctant to occupy it because someone might want to take a few more square feet.

It's the registration that bothers me the most JBS. You'd even have to register a higher capacity clip.
The only real agreement I see between the radical left and the neocons are their belief in government power as a good thing. But of course the regular left believes it too.
What does Jewish have to do with ANYTHING?

From what I can tell, the two sides are not that far apart when it comes to an agreement.
It's the extremists on both sides that play to emotions that muddy the issue.
I have yet to hear of a left leaning person who thinks that weapons should be completely outlawed and what I am hearing from the right is that registration of weapons is acceptable.
Seems like there should be some common ground in there somewhere.

I am dead set against registration. I do believe we can improve the "quality" (not expand) of background checks. Background checks as they are flawed and we do need to fix the mental health and criminal reporting aspect of them.
I don't understand the "Jewish " question.... was that to me?

So you got nothing, have no answers at all, just lame ass NRA talking points, fair enough. Just amazing what BS one gets when you talk about making all methods of purchasing firearms equal.
So why doesn't your crowd repeal the checks for bricks and mortars and make things a true free for all?

Whew, what a relief that is. Welcome to the 91% who favor background checks.
As for loons? I thought those were extinct in Michigan...I hear they taste awful.
So my Yooper grandpa told me.
