I would not be surprised if that is Weidemans just packaged in a nicer bottle with an exotic label lol.....

of course if one could not afford Pabst good old USA beer in the red white and blue can (U Save Alot) was quite the ticket at $2 a six lol

I saw a Weidemans truck once, it's slogan was 'It's the water, I tell you', someone crossed out the 'the'

That rye is BITTER. And you can taste the rye. Did I mention it's bitter?

We used to stand outside Lawsons (the local convienient store) and ask people to buy us beer. They would.

There were a couple places that didn't care but they were pretty far.

I drink Guinness to assure myself that I will not become an alcoholic. Couldn't afford to.

Back in the day, there was an ancient drive-up place in Warren across from the Republic mill on Pine Ave. The old man in the window had glasses that had to be a half inch thick. He always asked for ID, but he was so blind he couldn't read them. We went there ALL of the time.
