Could you not do what you now do in support of government programs that rebuilds infrastructure, improves and guards our borders and that sort of stuff, giving us well paying jobs that generate income tax and increases consumer spending?

I agree, mostly.
I believe we need the personnel to keep the military at the ready.
What I disagree with is the amount of money spent on weapons when we already have enough power to wipe out any other country on the earth.
I also recent paying the salaries of those decision makers who think we have to justify a war to satisfy their own private agendas.

The trouble with giving the military new toys is that they get impatient and must play with them.

What pisses me off is xray techs kickin' back with their feet up, listening to music on my tax dollars... (Typing nonsense on their iPhones)

Agree with all of the above.

Contained therein are all the problems I have with allowing the military to become a primary "jobs program", which it has.

Butchery as our leading industry? Starting wars because we need to create some jobs?

Does nobody see the potential for wrongdoing in that?

Okay, Pete. Time to que up the, "Oooooo, he said America is evil!" Bullshit. All I have to say to that is, "Well, what would you call it if it was someone else stimulating their economy by bring war to OUR shores?"

Christian principles my ass.
