That was my thought. We truly did give them exactly what they were after; To throw us into economic disarray and divide us.

Someone was on NPR talking about that very thing this morning........and how we need to get over it. We can't just go around launching massive military adventures everytime this happens, or eventually, we ruin ourselves economically. If anything, the next real terror attack will prove the ineffectiveness of it.

My nephew made an interesting point last night; "They kill three thousand of ours, then we blow trillions of dollars, go broke and end up with thousands more dead and tens of thousands more wounded. They get all of that for the cost of a box of razor blades and a few airline tickets."

Not quite accurate, but he does have something of a point.

Like Mr McVeigh backing his truck bomb up to the child care section of that federal building and letting her rip?

Weather Underground preferred government folks, they thought them to be very deserving.

My bad, you're right, no equivalence between the two. I was thinking Obama and the rest of the administration would be throwing some bogus story out today about the motivations of the attackers, but apparently not, so not really the same at all.

And, Tim McVeigh and his buddies thought a bunch of preschoolers were simply collateral damage in their fight to "protect America" from the Federal Government.

Is that how YOU see it?

Was Tim McVeigh a "True Patriot"?

Uh, no Dave, that's not how I see it. I'm starting to understand how you see me though.

Tim McVeigh and his ilk were the same thing as the WU- misguided extremists. They're just from the opposite polarity.
