Ben Harper seems to me to be one of the most genuine artists around. His music follows no forumla - i.e., it is not created for the market but for the sake of the music. And he seems to really appreciate his audiences. I sold some speakers to a freelance writer who did a magazine article on Ben. He gave me the sound board recording of a Ben Harper concert here. The writer assured me that the gracious person on stage is the same in a one to one conversation. I recently saw him interviewed on PBS, and the same genuine person came through. He was with Charlie Musselwhite, with whom he had recorded an album, and his respect for his fellow artist was clear. I have to find me a copy of that album.

Yes it was a very enjoyable first listen.I only picked them up because I knew you liked him so I thought they must be worth the SA price. Plus the cover lol.....it was much more diverse and polished than what I expected, the first song has a reggae beat....
