I pretty much gave up on trying to clean up the Requiem tape, the guy was a total amature. I did extract the Tuba mirum, the Recordare, the Domine Jesu, and what there was of the Lux aeterna. Then I digitally amplified them and added enough reverb to make it sound like a well attended concert hall. Gotta love CoolEdit 2000. If it had been me I would have taken the TEAC X-1000R and a 10" reel. Burned it to a CD so the granddughters will get a chance to hear it.

I just listened to that one yesterday. Though it's very good, even great, it's my third favorite of her albums. Shadowland and Absolute Torch and Twang are my favorites of hers. I saw her on tour in support of Ingenue ~20 years ago and she was terrific. FWIW, my wife was perhaps the only non-lesbian among the ladies in attendance.

Spinning now at Chez Finnbow, The Decemberists - Picaresque

I love that voice of hers. Hymns of the 49th Parallel is another great one.
