I suppose that one may also renounce his citizenship and no longer be able to enjoy the privileges and obligations of citizenship.

The decision-making process in the government is on a much lower plane than that in a church - at least theoretically. One many through the workings of democracy seek to change the decisions of the government. In a church, one must merely pray for a result.

This article reflects perfectly the whole Teabagger ethic. Somehow they believe they are the only ones deserving of largess from the government they love to hate. Selfish, confused morons, one and all.

It seems that the Pope's resignation may have been, in part, due to recent disclosures/arrests of money-laundering by the Vatican Bank.

Those Alaskans are a bunch of whiney takers biting the hand that feeds 'em. Maybe we can get our money back from the Russians? Judging by all of the whining coming from Wassilla town, while they have both hands out? I doubt the Russians would take it back.
