It's an overdub parody from the internet. So far I've watched it four times and can't stop laughing. Well done.

LaPierre gets a second chance tomorrow morning. It will be interesting to see if he has digested feedback from his Friday performance and mans up a little.

There is an elephant in the room that has been avoided so far. Namely the shooter's dad is a GE exec. They have not talked for years. IMO the shooter wanted to make a mess so big that it showed up on TV and caused problems for his dad. He was trying to communicate.

That's my take so far. Gun laws can't fix that sort of problem. But the NRA can make it worse by being callous.

Ebacon, you are right that gun laws won't address mental illness. However, gun laws, properly enforced, can help keep guns out of the hands of the mentally ill.

I see Senator Manchin has an OpEd piece in today's WaPo, nattering on about video games violent movies, yada yada. Funny thing is that these same games, movies, etc. are available in other countries but they don't all shoot up schools.

As far as the mental illness thing goes - do we lock up every kid who was a loner? Be a lot of kids in the state hospital, including your's truly but I never had the urge to kill everyone.

We played with cap guns as kids BFD, even when the real ones were available we went hunting, God knows that was dangerous enough, my uncle lost his only son to a hunting 'accident'. I question the accident part because the other kid's father never taught him how to properly handle a shotgun.

Good thing in the WaPo "5 myths" column about the deranged idea that the 2nd was so we could overthrow the government.

Would a good parent allow their child to watch porn hours a day? NO!! Then same parent will let a child play and watch violent video! No one else see inconsistency here? One will effect the child while other will not???

Shortly after my cousin was killed I was at the drugstore and two women were tsk tsking the Playboy magazines sitting right beside a Field & Stream.

I said "Look at it this way, Playboy might induce a boy to create life, the Field&Stream shows him how to take life."

They walked off in a huff, damned if I knew why.
