The Mercedes-Benz "Count Trossi" SSK is a gorgeous ride. It was on display in the Chrysler Tech Center for a while just outside of my lab. It has a supercharged straight six that sounds lovely. Engineers came out of their offices whenever it ran.

I'd roll it!

Some 28" spinners, big metal wing on the back, 24" diameter muffler, 1 tweeter and 11 subwoofers, could be nice

She's dying for a ride... The outfit would look good in that black car!

I wonder what the purpose is for the one that looks like a de-winged jetliner. Are there living quarters inside; is it a tank truck?

FLAC ought to be happy that the list includes some fuel cell vehicles.

A 50% reduction in fuel use, wow.

That funky semi was featured on TV a few years ago.

During the 1980s I was a research tech on the Eaton Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) program. We broke the 8 MPG barrier with that. If the funky semi owner's claims are true then it should get 12 MPG under ideal conditions. That's great fuel mileage for a semi.

I suppose steering with a joystick would be natural for a generation brought up on video games. I'm not sure how well my muscle memory would adapt.

Just be playing Nervous Norvus while you're 'driving', you'll be fine

Eb that's pretty neat. I found a cliam that we used 64,323,336,000 gallons of diesel in 07, a 50% increase in efficiency would be a 30% reduction (brain worky?), so we'd save 21+ BILLION gallons of fuel??

That's got to be a lot of the evil CO2.
