Goes both ways tho. Another republican win will continue us down the path of jobs and money being sent overseas, while tax dollars are being spent on the Republican make work program known as defense spending. As their actually wont be enough tax dollars to keep it going, they will borrow Chinese money to do so.

And think they have a right to ever cheaper goods, Erik. And then wonder why all of the "good jobs" are gone. Must've been the feminists, or maybe it's God-----mad at us over sodomite weddings?

Or, maybe you just can't support the wage levels even non-union American workers are accustomed to on the unrealistic price structure they demand when they go shopping? When manufacturers start leaving Mexico to look for even cheaper operating costs in China................I'm just sayin'.

Dave

And the people losing those good jobs will run right out and support Romney. Forgetting that he was the guy who, with his GOP buddies, actually sent those jobs away, while continuing the shipments of consumer crack to Walmart.

At least they can keep watching NASCAR and college football until they come and repossess the big screen tv. Panem et circenses, 21st century style.

I have a very good friend who sadly is a Democrat. ()

He's the only small business owner I know personally. A skilled business with just a couple workers.

Forcing him to supply healthcare might drive him out of business. At the very least, expect large price increases across the board.

Before the industrial revolution China produced somewhere around 1/3 to 1/2 of all good worldwide iirc.

Yes indeed China has a place to climb back to. They've been around a long time and have a long and storied history.

Wasn't it Mao that said;

"If you want to destroy a capitalist, appeal to his greed. Then sit back and watch as he destroys himself."

I'm not a big fan of Mao by any measure. But, if you think about what is going on.......................

I think it was Karl Marx. Any in case, he was right to recognize that greed and self-interest are inherent human traits. Capitalism works because it uses these inherent traits as the fuel for an economic system. OTOH, uncontrolled greed needs to be properly managed/regulated in a capitalist system, lest we want to return to the Gilded Age.

I was gonna say Mao was really good at destroying people, but then Marx was better.

Really? So just who did Marx destroy? Stalin killed a lot of people but he was no Marxist, just a plain old fashioned tyrant.

Right. Why can't some people see this?
Is it a case of; "If some is good than more is even better."?
