Natural selection at work. Any business owner that hysterical and that stupid deserves to be "out of the gene pool".

Indeed. If you actually believe that your business hinges upon who is President, you must have a pretty shaky business plan.

Not surprised about how your friend pronounced shoppe.

"Warsh" is a fairlywide-scattered pronunciation of wash. In East Baltimore you can warsh your close in the zink.
But it isn't really "close". There are some extra vowels in there somewhere, sort of "cleauose" but it's really pretty un-spellable.

You got the 'r' in the right place....!
Yes, I have heard it pronounced that way in other areas... Perhaps I associate it more with Indiana because I lived there.

Obama might be taking a hit with less educated voters now that the reality of Obamacare is setting in. They may have thought they were getting free health care and are surprised that what they got is mandatory health insurance that isn't free. Granted lower incomes pay reduced rates but they still pay. Even if the amount is small, such as ten bucks or fifty bucks a month, that is a hit to them. They might have to cut down on Starbucks lattes and that's tragic. The holographic image of America advertised on TV will fade away a bit for them.

Nothing is free and anyone who thought national health care could be free is just stupid.
Paying on a sliding scale is far more affordable for those who are struggling finically than trying to come up with money to pay for insurance in our current system.
In fact, even for those not struggling financially, insurance in our current system is hard to afford.

+1...Excellent point, Pat.
Whiney business owner; "I just can't run my business in this environment!"
Then, maybe you're an incompetent ass who should just go do something else?
I've been told that I shouldn't be too proud to flip burgers.........So niether should you.

They don't have an historical place they are climbing back to. American greed, the need to have a new blue ray player for $50, is lifting them to heights they would have never achieved on their own.
It is likely more a matter of economic suicide by proxy then anything else. Courses will be given, and books written, likely in Mandarin or Hindi, on how the greatest economy the world had ever seen destroyed itself, and simply gave its wealth away to China. All so that they could get the cheapest disposable consumer items.
