The agency mobilized the evacuation effort, took control of an unarmed U.S. military drone to map possible escape routes, dispatched an emergency security team from Tripoli, the capital, and chartered aircraft that ultimately carried surviving U.S. personnel to safety on Sept. 12, U.S. officials said.

I guess I'd respond that Petraeus and Panetta were not on the same page. So, good for the CIA for sticking out there necks while Panetta and maybe Obama kept the military on the sidelines.

I still think it speaks volumes on how the Right looks at life. Jumps all over this even before all the facts are in. Started with the head of the party, Romney and continues to today.
But even years after the facts of all the lies about Iraq have been aired they still see no problem. Not to mention the warning given to the White House by Clarke weeks before 911. But that was a Republican President of course.
I still believe the Government is being tight lipped in order to investigate and capture the ones behind the attack. Just like how they have been doing for the last three plus years with great results. I for one think the public expects to know the secrets right now. But there should be the need for them to be kept secret until the danger has past.

Barney, that makes good sense. There are things the general public doesn't need to know until the time is right.
He was pretty tight lipped about getting bin laden until the time was right.

Because many conservatives are such dittoheads that a meaningful conversation is impossible?

Oh really? Have you actually been following this thread or could it be that you are just indulging yourself like any other shallow dilitante, once again?

That's funny, you've never shown that much patience before hereabouts...good luck with that endeavor. You are sounding just as desperate as the rest of your party. Sad.

Because it is impossible to get a coherent argument from a rightie?

Thank goodness Obama didn't say 'we've found Bin Laden and we're going after him tomorrow' lol. Really?
