When Rep. Howard "Buck" McKeon gets a couple of stars on his jacket he can ask for information. Otherwise he can pound sand or hold a hearing. I don't care if he's the Grand Poobah of Bugtussel (R-Santa Clarita). Just another garden variety congressman with self importance issues.

He's a bit more than your average dirtbag.

Lots of young left leaners in the military, and lots of soft dems with family members in the military.
Many will think twice before casting a vote for a guy who treats those serving abroad like disposable pawns.

Bush and Cheney aren't running.

Except that you have no evidence to support that position. By your own admission all of this is conjecture and supposition.

Sorry, dude. No traction once again, give it up. Romney did, why can't you?

So, I take it they will not be voting for the draft dodger (Romney)?

As I see it, there's just something about a guy who supports a war.....so long as no one asks HIM to serve.

Regards,
Dave

...or his sons. If they were smart they would've went to France for the same course of rude rejection and derision their father endured but nooooo, they consider serving in their Dad's campaign as their civic duty & public service.

Besides, who the hell goes to France and refuses to drink the wine? Only Mormons I guess, go figure?

French wine is good, but overrated, IMHO. Honestly, the finest wines in the world are....American. And, I'm not just saying that, I believe it to be true. We have some great wineries right here, in Virginia--Horton is my favorite. California is certainly no slouch either.

I spent a week in France in 1983. Cannes, Nice and Toulon.

Hanging out in Toulon is kinda like vacationing in Newport News. Industrial, gritty shipyard town.

Cannes and Nice are fantastic. I'd go again in a heartbeat.

I had no problem with the French. From my experience, so long as you at least attept to speak French while you're there, they are not nearly as rude. Try to shout English (With an American accent.) at them......You might as well just pack up and go home. The rest of your visit WILL suck.

It also helps if you frequently tell them how beautiful it is and praise the food. The French have huge egos.

I've been to France dozens of times, all over the country. I've never had any issues whatsoever with the French (I speak a bit of French). I think most of our problems with the French is that they, just like us, think they're living in the greatest country in the world. How dare they be so arrogant.
