I have worked on several Habitat for Humanity projects here. It is a joy to see a family move in. All of the houses are in pristine condition ten years later. Sometimes poor people just need the opportunity to become productive members of society. Jimmy Carter provided many with that opportunity.

All Presidents have charitable objectives. It is the nature of the beast. Carter however is the most philanthropic President we have had in a long time.
