I like how they think (and have some math to back it up) that before what became part of the moon hit the earth it had 4 hour days - the other direction. And the axis was straight up and down.
The earth will do largely what it wants. Our only contested claim to any kind of terraforming is that maybe we accidentially produced enough co2 through all of human endeavour to maybe start warming it slightly. Pete
