It was because of the debt ceiling debacle. The threat to default on our national lowered the ratings of our bonds. If sequestration occurs, the drastic cut in gov't spending will put a further drag on the recovery. Despite their proclaimed intention, the Teabaggers are economic poison.

Gotta love that discredited GE CEO Jack"-$50 million"Welch is cited as the standard bearer for this latest wacked denial of the reality...
Romney got his latest bump turned into a hole with the loss of the Republicants favorite campaign bumper sticker. "42 months above 8%"...maybe R$R will get Todd"The Illegitimate"Akin to stump for them?

Dick Armey's Freedom Works created the tea baggers using the Koch brothers dads Bircher money. Faux news nurtured them. Tbagger meetings here have dwindled to just a few people. You know, the ones that can be fooled all of the time.

Ahhhhhh, Jack Welch.......Another miserable failure who managed to spin his gross incompetence into convincing people it was "success". Sorry, Jack, but leaving tens of thousands unemployed and dozens of communities devastated behind you ISN'T "success" you utterly worthless piece of shit.
When did we start idolizing people for their ability to shutter factories and fuck others out of their livelyhoods in the name of nothing more than their own personal gain?
That's what I'd like to know.
And, I'd really like it to stop, because it's ruining my country.
Regards,
Dave

That wasn't my question. My question was specific to Santelli, not entire tea party. Please stay on topic.

The Santelli situation has circumstantial evidence going against it. There is no question that the Koch brothers are behind the Tea Party astroturf seeders. There is also no question that Santelli used a curious choice of words, namely "Chicago Tea Party".
Where the circumstantial evidence comes in is that all top level domains of chicagoteaparty.com were registered a few months prior to Santelli's rant. Here is the registration info from ICANN.

Bullshit! All Congress had to do was raise the debt ceiling like they routinely did some 30 plus times since Reagan.
Please provide some professonal economic analysis of your assumptions. I can change my mind and that is no bullshit.
I love the concern with the debt and deficit when a Democrat is the President. I don't remember any discussions about the debt or deficit during the Bush II administration. Goggle the 'two Santa clause. I will save you some time.
