Pete's "It's Friday" thread has always been a place for a little gentle humor to act as a sort of safety valve for the "steam" that can build up in the other threads. When you, as you have on several occasions, post argumentative and, frankly, obscene material to that thread you subverts its purpose.

I pointed that out to her months ago. Clearly, she doesn't care. Or maybe she heard Glenn Beck say it was from Jefferson and believes him to be more credible than the official custodians of Jefferson's legacy.

I was pretty careful to avoid making any reference to what Pete's intent was in starting the thread because, obviously, I don't know what that was. On the other hand, I'm quite capable of discerning the purpose it has served irrespective of Pete's intent. I consider it a valuable service and believe Painter's posts to it have been contrary to that purpose.
