Turns out I was mistaken about the timeframe in which Willards daddy was employed at AMC. He ruled in the late 1950s, the company was swallowed by Chrysler in the early '80s.

One of my Uncles owned a 1962(?) Rambler American until his death in 1991. The guy retired after 20 years as a SeaBee, then went to work for USS as a maintenance supervisor and retired from there in 1979. Lived in the house he inherited from his parents, so he'd never made a mortgage payment. He also never married or had any children.

When he died, his sister hired a guy to search his home and yard for money. They found almost $300,000 buried in the yard, stashed behind baseboards, in the walls and sealed in plastic, in the toilet tanks. He had a bank account with $50 in it.

For a long time, his siblings thought maybe he was gay......

After his death, the man across the street admitted he knew my uncle and his wife had been having an affair----for over thirty years.

Only if I'm allowed to take my cutting torch to it (and turn it into a pickup) and replace the drivetrain with some real drivetrain components from Ford...

Do you think that this is an incorrect assessment? I think its a pretty darn accurate portrayal of the behavior of Palestinian leadership. Arafat telling Barak and Clinton to stuff it in 2001 after offering the everything including the kitchen sink to Arafat was the eye-opener for me.
