I would not bet on that, Jim Lehrer is moderating one.

"There are 47 percent of the people who will vote for the president no matter what. All right, there are 47 percent who are with him, who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you-name-it. That that's an entitlement. And the government should give it to them. And they will vote for this president no matter what…These are people who pay no income tax."

Romney went on: "my job is is not to worry about those people. I'll never convince them they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives."

He is spot on... He is talking about the election not how he will govern.

Hmmm, more to the point, he is talking about you...

Because more than half of them are teabaggers like you.

Whoa the left must be really worried

He's right in not worrying too much about votes he's not getting anyway, and many on the right will agree with him.

SS is 'earned' - SSI is not (generally). Wonder how many SSI receipients are Republicans?

He's talking about your mom and dad. Your disabled neighbor who worked 30 years, your daughter's teenage mom friend from school.

The best part is that he's also talking about his vise Presidential candidate who took SS monies to get through college.

Most SSI recipients are in the fat belt. Trailer trash. So yeah most SSI recipients are republicans. Don't worry though he won't lose their vote, they would never vote for a black man. They know they are better than any black man no matter how accomplished.

My experience in the inner city with SSI has been remarkably different than yours.

This is utter BS and both you and Mitt know it. Every working persom pays taxes, FICA, Medicare, Sales, Property (in their rent if they don't own) so let's stop with the smoke and mirrors OK.

The idea that SS is welfare is more BS, we all paid into the system, if Congress mis-managed those funds don't blame the victims. Do not think for a minute Medicare Part B is free, try $1200 a year (each) for openers.

Your sanctimonious businessmen who declare bankruptcy so they could get some "judge" to let them walk away from their"Guaranteed" pensions, and consequntly dumped that on the axpayer's back should be jailed.

Sorry chum it's the 47%, the underpaid workers, who keep this economy going because they have no choice but to spend every nickle here. Unlike the Romney's of this world who hide it all in Swiss banks. And apparently you are just sucker enough to swallow that line.

Unlike Romney I bring more money into this country than our combined SS every month, but then I worked for a honest company that did not try and screw their employees.

And Romney and Ryan have brown eyes.
