Probably near my top for Van tunes, along with "Into the Mystic". I was fortunate enough to get to see him do both at the Columbia River Gorge Amphitheater two summers ago. My wife won 7th row seats from our local radio station KINK. I think Van is short for vanity.

Nothing right now.

But, I have Styx---Cornerstone on the Pro-Ject turntable, that beautiful wood bodied German cartridge all cleaned up and ready to go.

That was the first time I listened to that album through the Crack.

A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!!!

Right now, I just have a run of the mill Sylvania short plate, square getter in the pre spot, but I have the Tung-Sol 5998 in the power section. That 5998 is the keeper! Out of the RCA 6080, the Mullard 6080, the GE 6AS7G and the Cetron 7236 nothing touches the big Tung-Sol 5998. That is one sweet sounding tube. The best $40 I ever spent. The accordian on "Boat on the River" just comes alive.

I'm also glad I did the maintenance on the Pro-ject 'table as well. Hard to believe just cleaning and lubing the bearings and refilling the "anti-resonance cup" with fresh silicon goo makes that much of a difference, but it does. Much more smooth and quiet.

Dave
