Nice talk there John. You're not the most cultured member of this forum now are you? You are competing at the other end of the spectrum with bobabode though. I'm pretty sure however that boba has the misfortune to be afflicted with some type of Tourette Syndrome. Haven't seen him about today. I do hope he hasn't fallen out of that fishing boat again. It is indeed very unlike him to have some kind of life outside of here.

The antiwar movement was directed at Nixon and his conduct of the war not at any of our veterans but what the fuck do you know. You are at most the same age now (13 at most) as I was when I was standing up on my own two feet, not too mention thinking on them. Nixon was indiscriminantly bombing the crap out of Cambodia with not a leg to stand on legally or factually. Read the Pentagon Papers you mendacious little shit if you want some background. I actually did read the serial expose as it came out in the Washington Post. Heavy stuff for a teenager but I at least had the intellectual honesty to read up on what underpins my beliefs and subsequent actions in downtown D.C. Those actions consisted of peacefully protesting the actions of an immoral regime, as is the right of any citizen in these United States. There was an enormous contingent of Vietnam war veterans involved in these protests by the way, so in addition to what I read there were numerous firsthand accounts of the botched and cynical job Nixon and his cohort were conducting in SE Asia.

Not once did I witness anyone spitting or disrespecting a vet, except the boys in blue in riot gear, in the hundreds if not thousands of hours I spent protesting. That behaviour would have certainly ended badly for anyone doing it in my presence as in a knuckle sandwich and them looking for their teeth. These stories of vets coming home to crowds of spitting antiwar protesters are just that, stories. Foisted by the far right propaganda machine and eagarly swallowed by the gullible.

Mezz, on that other subject that you brought up? I seriously doubt that you could have gotten laid when you were a teenager unless you slipped some poor girl a micky and raped her or paid a hooker for it. That would be my estimation of your character.
