There is no reason to add expense to gun owners. Permits are not free ( though they should be since the 2'nd is our permit ). We already have laws that make it illegal for a crook or mental freak to have guns, but does that stop 'em? Hell no, they still find what they want and rob or shoot people. If assult weapons were totally banned where will the whackjobs get their hands on them. By banned I not only mean no longer made or sold but all existing ones destroyed. That way an honest man with a handgun has a good chance against so whacko invading his home.

John, just a little H&R 9 shot 22 revolver. It's my buddies guns that rock! His Springfield 1911 is an awesome pistol.

Although with shorty 22s the H&R is fun. I swear a firecracker is louder. Hard to aim though.
