My only concern is that it generates way more heat than the others. Someone over at AK said he once measured 5 amps of current to the heaters on the Mullard 6080, with most 6080s drawing < 3 amps. That would explain the heat and I can't help but worry what the long term effect on other components in my amp would be.

Quick look up of the characteristics shows 2.5 amp current draw. I don't think you'll have any problems. Good to hear you like it. Does it do the Mullard flash when you power it up?
