I am not neccesarily attempting to argue against Climate Change, but merely to point out that the figure the OP posted in pounds, that made man's contribution appear large, is small relative to the atmosphere. That struck me as similar to what Mann did with his graph, namely, emphasize the magnitude of what he sought to show . Moreover, the system is complex and difficult to accurately model. BTW, the time scale also presents a problem. I'm well aware of the effect of trace gas amounts on changing the system. In the ozone case, there is not another competing gas that contributes significantly to increasing UV levels.
Here's a nice summary article on Greenhouse Gases and Global Warming and the probable relation between the gases.

Interestingly 'they' now believe that at one point greenhouse gasses went up, it released the methane trapped on the bottom of the oceans (don't remember why), poisoned the atmosphere.
They said instead of blue the earth would've looked pink from space at that time.
At another time the planet was encased in ice, an 'ice ball planet'.
Interesting. According to theory, it all happened without human involvement, and we sure aren't advanced enough to stop those events even now.

Unless I've forgotten or there is new data to change the fact, this is another great reason to grow weed across the world. One acre of marijuana produces the same amount of oxygen as seven acres of trees. Weed just may save all our lives if this is true.

I prefer the DEA out replacing Needles highway this time of year, in their full "military" gear.

I lived in what was at a time one the largest legal producer of legal Hemp. Clark County KY. It still grows wild along the road at times. Any you come across in the woods you have better leave well enough alone.
There was a push to have cardboard made out of it. Grow the plants on site to feed the factory. But of course this made too much sense.
Probably thought people would smoke the boxes!

Ok, so what's the big deal with global warming. People in Canada and Russia
probably like it.
