Robert Palmer "Sneakin' Sally Through the Alley", his first (and, IMO, best) album with help from Little Feat, The Meters and Allen Toussaint.

A very funky effort indeed. I still play RP fairly often. Clues is another good one, though it's missing the NOLA funk.

Trees The Garden of Jane Delawney 1970
Supreme Beings of Leisure
Enoch Light Persuasive Percussion
Les Baxter Spacecapades

I'm going through a space-tiki lounge phase today. Perhaps, I'll even make a Martini.

I almost bought a Martin Denny album yesterday.

Almost.

A friend just gave me the Gillian Welch CD. It seems that I will like most anything that T-Bone Burnett has had a hand in.

Haven't heard Diane Birch. Does she do Americana too? Along those lines, we are going to see Brandi Carlisle next month.

Regards,

D-Ray

Welch's latest release "The Harrow and the Harvest" is also excellent.
