What exactly are they wanting to change about our history. That i do not know. But any institution that relies on government funding, i couldnt trust. As they will be pushed to do the will of the feds.

Are you as worried about the Texas School Board rewrite?
Or this one;
http://www.conservapedia.com/Main_Page
Give it a read. These so-called "Great Americans" are even attempting to rewrite your Bible.
And, Soros IS a philanthropist;

http://philanthropy.com/article/philanthropy50/126150/
Did you know he spent hundreds of millions in his own money fighting communism in Eastern Europe? Of course you don't. You believe all of the HORSESHIT LIES the rightwing propaganda machine feeds you.

I'm in agreement. The Tea Party, like OWS, has some good points, but is filled with far too many blind single issue voters. In my view, the Tea Party's heavy load of God fearing evangelists taints their more salient smaller government message.

My kids all took AP World History and AP American History in high school and they learned a lot - I dare say far more than you know, or probably ever will unless you stop listening to Limbaugh/Hannity and start reading.
BTW, Soros is a philanthropist (among other things).

I'd have to say I agree with this. Nicely stated as well, BH. Although I would have to say in my eyes it applies to the entire Republican Party. They day they stop associating themselves with nitwits and fairytale believers might be the day they start getting my vote again.
Yeah, I know. They only do it for the nitwit and fairytale believer vote.....but still.

... and that pretty much explains why I have a hard time voting Republican, even though my ideology is closer to the (nearly nonexistent) moderate/RINO/Rockefeller wing of the GOP than it is to the Dem's. The politicians I have admired most over the past 30 years have almost all been of this persuasion, but the GOP no longer has a place for such people.

Isn't this entire country and institution that relies on government funding?

No, only about half the country relies on government funding. The other half is relied upon by the government to provide that funding.

I think you are a bit off on your calculations. Everyone in this country relies on gov funding in one way or another. And every taxpaying citizen helps to provide that funding.
