Tchaikovskys 3rd & 4th Symphonies.

7.5 IPS Reel to Reel.

Bought six tapes, all classical from a guy on AK for $35 shipped. All were still sealed, had NEVER been played.

Have you followed the progeny of Uncle Tupelo? Interesting that you would be listening to Buffalo Springfield in the same session, in that both groups provided fertile soil for the growth of other groups.

I'm in the kitchen most of today preparing for my son's HS graduation party tomorrow. I needed some (still) good '70's hard rock to keep me going. In playing order:

Spirit - Twelve Dreams of Dr. Sardonicus
Blue Oyster Cult - S/T
Captain Beyond - S/T

Don Juan - Richard Strauss Southwest Stuttgarts Radio Orch Geprge Pretre dir.

All I need is a new body, this one aches in places I did not know it had. Got the new carriage house sited with a six foot long ramp. Now the golf cart is right at the back door and what used to be the kitchen garden is seeded. Man it was hot and humid out there. Now that I have grass seed down it will not rain for three weeks.

Yes, I found Uncle Tupelo and Son Volt via Wilco. Yankee Hotel Foxtrot was recommended by a friend.

Another band to come out of Uncle Tupelo is the Bottle Rockets. Their album "The Brooklyn Side" is full of great songwriting - but a little left-leaning.

"Angry fat man on the radio
Wants to keep his taxes way down low
Says there oughta be a law
Angriest man you ever saw."

From the song "Welfare Music"

Regards,

D-Ray
