Isn't it obvious? Look around you.
Because America is a nation full of unhealthy fat f**ks, running up the healthcare costs, who obviously cannot make their own choices responsibly. I should know....I'm one of them.
How many people do you know, who didn't quit smoking until Clinton fined the shit out of the tobacco companies, driving the price of smokes to $5-$6 a pack? (And, some of them would still miss a bill payment rather than give up the nicotine.)
If Americans lose these "freedoms" it will be because they have demonstrated their inability to handle them.
Okay, lob your hate grenades at me for being brazen enough to speak the ugly truth. (Even at my own expense.) I've grown used to it.

Amazingly simple, isn't it? The rough and tumble rugged individualists whose apple carts are knocked over by the slightest breeze............

The problem is who ought make these decisions: government bureaucrats or individuals. Do you enjoy being nudged along like cattle being prodded? I find it dehumanizing and morally repugnant, thus, the notion that the best government is one that doesn't entwine itself in the lives of citizens.

So, using your logic, can I assume you support allowing consenting same gender adults making their own choice to marry? And do you support a woman's choice to not carry a pregnancy full term?
Don't need the gov making decisions for people now..... Do we?

One thing I have to give BH credit for is that he is consistent in that regard, IIRC.

Just thinking about the difference between Michelle's health eating campaign, and Nancy's "Just say no." No one ever got thirty years in prison for selling a candy bar.
